The main goal of shaping our vision is to make Hacettepe University Faculty of Education, Department of Special Education a pioneer in the national and international arena. Subsequently, it is to train special education teachers and scientists who are integrated with the world, competent in the special education of our country and region, have absorbed theoretical knowledge and equipped with practical skills.

Our mission is to contribute to the development of special education science field in the world by starting from our department. One of the most important motivations for us is to produce theoretical and practical knowledge that can be used internationally in this field. Moreover, it is to train private teaching teachers who can be employed in Turkey and abroad, especially in the official schools and institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. We aim to contribute to the development of special education by developing solutions for the problems encountered in the field of special education at the local and international level and by raising scientists in this field.
